Reducing cost per part & shorter lead times resonates during formnext 2019
This edition, we presented the visitors, customers and our investors the latest of our end-to-end technology in an operational setup. We look back to a very successful event at which we received considerable interest, not just in numbers of visitors but also in the queries and information requests.
It was the second time we participated at formnext, the leading global exhibition and conference on Additive Manufacturing and the next generation of intelligent industrial production. With about 34.000 professionals and 852 international orientated exhibitors contributing to this venue, it shows Additive Manufacturing technology is slowly but surely becoming a mature industry.
The next step in real digital manufacturing, live at the formnext
After our introduction of AM-Vision in 2018 at formnext, this edition we showcased a real life working environment, showing post processing steps such as pick & placing, identification and sorting of 3D printed parts. Our team of AM-Experts explained the benefits and importance of implementing these solutions to the factory floor: for AM to become really competitive cost per print and lead times need to be reduced, and an automated end-to-end AM production line can contribute directly to lowering costs and lead times. It became clear that all this interest indicates that the market is moving towards adopting AM as a serious manufacturing technology
What our clients think
Beside talking with many interested parties, we also had a chance to interview our customers and ask them their opinion about the bottlenecks in the Additive Manufacturing industry and which factors are important to reduce the cost-per-part in a flexible way.
Steve Grundahl (President Midwest Prototyping):
“The bottlenecks in the industry right now are largely in the post processing side…”
Thank you all
Our team had a great time and many thanks to all the visitors for passing by our booth and all the conversations about the next step in real end-to-end digital manufacturing. If you missed this year’s event, no worries, we look forward seeing you and talking to you at formnext 2020.
