Highlights Formnext Connect 2020

Formnext Connect 2020 was all about connecting the digital dots
After two years of physical participation in Frankfurt, the past three days, we connected and interacted with interested parties, customers, and peers via the digital matchmaking platform of Formnext Connect, which demonstrated its credentials as the international, digital hub of the AM world in these challenging times of COVID19.

Start up Challenge Award Pitch next event
We look back to a successful event where Stefan Rink, CEO AM-Flow, presented our business case at the Start up Challenge Award pitch-session on the Main Stage, hosted by Sven Krause and Arno Held (AM-Ventures).

As one of the selected winners of this prestigious award, we were given a stage to share our vision and solutions toward end-to-end digital manufacturing. In the Q&A session, we answered the queries from the visitors.

Introduction of AM-BAGGING
In last year’s edition, we showcased a real life working environment, showing post-processing steps such as Pick & Placement, identification, and sorting of 3D printed parts. Our team of AM-Experts explained the benefits and importance of implementing these solutions to the factory floor: for AM to become competitive, cost per print and lead times need to be reduced, and an automated end-to-end AM production line can contribute directly to lowering these KPIs.

In this 2020 edition, we introduced AM-BAGGING as the latest module to our solution suite; a module that – as its name suggests – provides fully automated bagging and labeling capabilities to AM environments. The new module perfectly bridges between AM-PICK and AM-ROUTE, and exemplifies our continued quest to provide a full end-to-end post-processing solution to manufacturers and service bureaus.

Expert Session Industry 4.0 automation for 3D-Printing Factories
On the final day of the Formnext Connect, our CEO, Stefan Rink, hosted an Expert Session with an in-depth explanation of the product portfolio of AM-Flow and where best to start automating your AM factory.

This session aimed to inform the audience of the possible steps to take on your roadmap towards your fully, digital, lights out factory: connecting 3Dprinters and post-processing workstations in a step-by-step approach all the way to implementing an integrated, modular AM production line.

Thank you for connecting with us
The Formnext Connect event provided us a great platform for global exposure and storytelling in the current new digital reality. We are looking forward to meeting you in person live at (a hybrid) Formnext in 2021!
